Anthony Casuccio releases upbeat new single “Love Is The Answer”

Anthony Casuccio is an experienced songwriter, producer, and audio engineer who has accumulated numerous accolades and successes throughout his 25-year career within the music industry. His audio production work has been nominated for three Grammy awards, reached gold record status, and has been placed in various notable TV shows and commercials. Adding to his extensive musical expertise, he has remastered various albums for icons such as Johnny Cash, Tony Bennet and Roy Orbison.

Anthony has also led his well known band, A&L, to success – impressively topping various charts all around the world. The group had nine top 20 on the U.K. Indie music charts, in addition to receiving radio play in over 70 countries throughout Europe and the USA.

Most recently, Anthony Casuccio has released the second single titled, “Love Is The Answer” off of his critically acclaimed EP, “Emotional Lockdown”. This new single is is not only upbeat and inspirational, but the song has been remixed and enhanced with EDM styled synthesizers and beats that give it a polished, well produced sound that one would expect from Anthony Casuccio. “Love Is The Answer” features legendary James Brown singer (First Sister) Cynthia Moore, who gives the song that soulful injection that adds a new dimension to the mix.

INTERVIEW

Hello, Anthony! Thank you for joining us today. When did you first discover your passion for music?

Anthony: It was in middle school. I was probably 11 or 12 years old. I had been playing the trumpet at school since I was 7. I was always listening to the radio and discovered The Beatles and then Van Halen. Hearing the harmonies of the Beatles and the raw guitar of Eddie Van Halen made me want to play the guitar. I begged my parents for lessons and then that started my musical journey. I always say, music picks you. How you responded is up to you. I choose not to ignore that calling.

What three words would you say best summarize your musical style?

Anthony: Melodic, heartfelt, well-produced.

Tell me about your most recent music release titled “Love Is The Answer”.. what was the inspiration behind writing it?

Anthony: I started writing this song during Covid but it took me a while to get inspired to write the lyrics. A bunch of unsavory news headlines grabbed my attention. They resonated with me. I have a tendency to be an “over-thinker” and well as having a tendency to be very emotionally charged. Something that is great for a songwriter, but not so much in everyday life. Just kidding. I saw all of this negative news and I thought, we need to treat people with more respect and be kinder. I was trying to figure out the answer to this complex societal question. Then it dawned on me. The answer is so simple: Love. Love is the answer. I sat down and wrote the lyrics in an hour.

What is your songwriting process?

Anthony: I usually start with writing lyrics and derive the melody from the rhythm of the words. Then I fill in the music, most of the time strumming on an acoustic guitar. That process has changed for my new EP Emotional Lockdown, which is a departure from my guitar-centered music. The project saw me playing around with beats and chord progressions first then creating a song structure with a lyrical idea to finalize the music. Then I would expand on the lyrics. At the end of the day, you have to follow your creative energy. Some of the best ideas come from unconventional approaches.

What is the next “big thing” the world can expect from you?

Anthony: I plan to shoot a video for this song. I have some great ideas that I feel will resonate with the viewers. I am hoping the Cynthia Moore (legendary singer that toured with James Brown) will join me in the video. I am so honored that she sang on my song.
